Out of Country Purchaser?

Want to buy one of PPL's Consigned RVs but You Live Outside of the USA?

Call PPL Motor Homes at 1-713-988-5555 ( Houston area) or toll free a 1-800-755-4775 and request that an Ernest Money Agreement be faxed to you for the purchase of a specific RV.

Shipping the Unit Out of the US?

PPL does not hold an exporting license to ship out of the USA.  You will need to make your own shipping arrangements.  For your convenience, a few shipping sites are named here: www.ghediinternational.com, www.allianceshippinggroup.co.uk and www.accordoverseas.com 

Either you or an agent you appoint would have to come to Houston, Texas to sign the paperwork and take possession of the unit.  If you send an agent to pick up the unit they will need a power of attorney form from you showing they can legally sign the purchase paperwork.  We will provide all the sales paperwork needed. 

Complete the Agreement, Fax it to PPL,  and Pay Your Earnest Money.

Please sign the Earnest Money Agreement and fax it  back to PPL Motor Homes at 713-988-8447. This Purchase Agreement, if accepted by the Seller, obligates you to purchase the vehicle within 5 days regardless of whether or not you or your representative has inspected the vehicle.  The vehicle is available for inspection during this 5 day period. You must also deposit $500 earnest money.  This can be done by check or credit card. If paying by check, you should over-night both the check and signed Agreement to PPL. The Agreement will become effective when PPL has received both a signed Agreement and the $500 earnest money provided that (1) you have not made any changes to the contract and (2) PPL has not accepted a contract from another buyer.

Complete the Purchase within 5 Days

You must then complete the purchase within 5 days of acceptance of your Earnest Money Agreement by PPL or your earnest money will be forfeited.  If you need more than 5 days to close on the sale, we will consider holding the vehicle for 14 days with a $1000 non-refundable deposit. This additional time must be approved by PPL's management and/or by the owner of the RV.

If you are not a Texas resident and you title the vehicle in your home country, they will apply the tax, title and license fees.  The only fee you will pay here will be the purchase price, the $290. check out/demonstration fee (optional), a $50. documentary fee, a $1.00 insurance fee and Texas also charges a small inventory tax based on the value of the vehicle.

Please remember that the total due at closing must be paid in cash, cashiers check or money order. No personal checks are accepted.

The Holiday Inn Southwest, located at 11160 SW Freeway, is less than 1/2 miles from our location.  If you book a room here using the special PPL nightly rate they will shuttle you to and from our location as needed. To book a room at the Holiday Inn Southwest Call 1-800-465-4329 and mention you are a PPL customer.

Airport Information

The nearest airport to our facility is Hobby Airport (approximately 23 miles).  Our other airport is the Bush Intercontinental Airport (approximately 29 miles).  It is located across town from us. Shuttles available  are the "SuperShuttle"  or "Reliable Transportation Services" to get to our location or a hotel.  Information can be found and reservations made for these companies at www.SuperShuttle.com  or www.reliable-taxi.com.  If you prefer to use a Yellow Cab they can be reached at 713-236-1111.

Rental Car Information

If you get a room at the Holiday Inn Southwest, they do have Hertz Car Rental in the lobby.  For reservations call 1-800-654-3131.  Car rentals are also available at both airports.  Available rental services at Hobby Airport include: Enterprise, Thrifty and Avis.  At Bush Intercontinental available rental services include: Enterprise, Thrifty and Budget.

 

Purchasing a Vehicle to tour the States?

To drive in the USA you will need an international driver's license.  This license is gotten in your country before you come to the USA and it will allow you to drive here.

You will need to have a USA address to receive a title on the unit you purchase and to handle the sale in the USA.  If you do not have an address you may want to consider joining a travel club such as The Escapees.  Their information can be found at www.escapees.com  With their mail forwarding service we would be able to mail all your paperwork to you on the road when we receive it.

If you wish to travel the USA for a year or so then sell the unit before returning home, we can also help you with this. Just return the unit to PPL Motor Homes at the end of your travels and consign it through us for a no hassle way to sell!
