Foam Tape for Weather Stripping
Economical foam tape can be used as weather stripping, gasketing and applications requiring positive seals on irregular surfaces. Foam tape is flexible and conformable to seal tight radius curves when critical. It seals out air, moisture, light and dust when compressed at least 30% and resists most chemicals, acids and solvents. Meets General Motors Specification 6086M-IA; Ford ESB M3G 102-A; Chrysler MSAY 511-A, B and C.
Foam Tape- Uses
For RVs and Automobiles - Replace deteriorated insulation seals on doors, hatches, and covers to prevent rattles and leaks. Exterior Doors & Windows - Place foam tape at all accessible jamb points to form an energy saving weather proofing seal. Air conditioner and RV Vents - Seal all openings around vent lids for better water proofing and to prevent air leaks.
Foam Tape - Directions to use this Weather Stripping material
Make sure surface to which tape is to be applied is clean and dry and free of dust. Tape will adhere better at room temperature. Pressure is all that is needed for application of insulating and sealing tape For added thickness or width, overlap or place another strip of tape next to the first.
