OPD Valve LP Tanks -
11#, 20#, 30# or 40# DOT Cylinders
OPD Valve LP Tanks - 11#, 20#, 30# or 40# Sizes
The new Overfill Protection Device (OPD valve) is included on these tanks. This helps keep them from being overfilled. As of April 1, 2002 only tanks with an OPD valve can be refilled. If you have a tank with a non OPD valve, you must replace it before it can be legally refilled. Even if you have LP in your current tank, you should consider buying an OPD cylinder so that you can have it filled when needed. These LP Tanks are made of steel. The steel tanks are powder coated to resist corrosion.
These LP tanks are triple tested with dry pneumatic air and are manufactured in accordance with DOT 4BA, DOT 4BW and 4E specifications.

Many changes have taken place in RV Propane connections over the last five years. It is important to understand the new safety features and how they work together to afford maximum protection and convenience. The new Type I, ACME connection and its ability to shut off the gas flow in a fire situation is one of those improvements. Cylinders and tanks with the OPD valve to help prevent over filling is another improvement. You will love the safety and convenience these products bring to your RVing experience. However, please note that any installations and work on your LP Gas system should always be performed by someone knowledgeable and qualified to do such work.
