Propane Tank Level Indicators - Never run out of gas with the
LP level IndicatorThese Propane Tank Level Indicators are self-adhering. Simply clean the surface and push on to tank. Installs in less than one minute. It has no moving parts and is maintenance free. The indicator provides an accurate reading of fuel level in tank so that you never run out of fuel again. (Part #66-8681is a magnetic strip and is therefore reusable and can be moved from tank to tank.)
To read the level in the tank, pour some very hot water (with a temperature of at least that of hot coffee to boiling), down the length of the gauge. Usually, hot tap water is not hot enough. The indicator strip will change color and the lower portion of the strip will quickly return to its original color. Surface of liquid gas level in the tank is indicated at the area or line where the two colors meet. If no color change or a faint color change occurs, use boiling water.
