A & E RV Awnings - Imperial 8500
A & E RV Awnings are very popular because of their great looks and long life. The Imperial 8500's heavy-duty premium vinyl canopy has the rich, vibrant color pattern on top and bottom. RV Awnings consist of two basic components (which are sold separately):
- The 'Awning' - the canopy fabric, and a complete roller tube with end springs.
- The 'Arms', or 'hardware'.
For a new installation or complete replacement you will need an 'Awning' and a set of 'Arms' (Hardware). These items are sold separately. (Awning Rail is not included) Two important measurements are needed for a proper installation.
- The length of the Awning, which is the distance between the centerline of the arms (in one foot increments), as they will be mounted on the RV. Be sure to clear windows and doors, etc. A&E roller assemblies are available in even feet lengths from 10 to 25 feet.
- The height, or length of the Arms. This is measured from the point of attachment of the awning rail (at the top), the floor line of the RV which is where the foot or bottom of the arms will be attached. The hardware comes in three colors satin (aluminum), polar white and Mende white. 'Short' arms range from 62" - 76", and 'standard' arms are for 74"- 88".

Hardware Product Information (Needed only if replacing any part of an existing Awning)
With the canopy fully extended, you should find a product tag on the roller tube; usually toward the front of the RV. Record the brand, serial number and production number.
Note the color of the hardware such as satin (aluminum), cream or white. Also record the product information for the hardware (model, serial number and production number) which is generally found on the product tag inside of the front awning arm channel.
