Automatic Battery Disconnect by Roadmaster

This Automatic Battery Disconnect eliminates the inconvenience and danger of pulling your battery cable to tow your vehicle. Just connect it and forget it - after the initial installation, the vehicle can be towed and then driven without any further adjustment to the battery - ever!

Why is this needed? Some late model vehicles are so sophisticated that when the tires turn from towing, the onboard computer wakes up and starts turning on electronic systems. After 2-3 hours of towing, the result is a dead battery.

The Automatic Battery Disconnect is ideal for anyone towing a Jeep Liberty, Jeep Wrangler or any other vehicle which must be towed with the battery cable disconnected. It also provides a constant charging current to the battery during towing, keeping the battery up to full capacity and providing a positive current source for break-away systems or other accessories which must be connected to the battery.

2007-2010 Dodge Dakota

2008-2010 GMC Acadia

2008-2010 Jeep Liberty

2008-2010 Jeep Wrangler

2008-2009 Chevy Equinox Sport

2008-2009 Pontiac Torrent GXP

2009-2010 Smart fortwo

2008-2009 Hummer H2

After installing the Automatic Battery Disconnect (part number 765), these vehicles can be towed and then driven without any further adjustment to the battery. Please check your owners manual to learn of the specific towing requirements for your vehicle.
