Battery Brain for Your RV
Type I Type III Type IV RV Part #55-9863 Part #55-9864 Part #55-9865 The Battery Brain monitors the charge level of your battery prevents the draining of the battery below the level required to start the engine. When this level is reached, the Battery Brain automatically disconnects the battery from the electrical system, thereby preventing further drainage and retains enough charge to start the engine. Never be stranded again. It easily mounts on the positive battery terminal.
Excessive battery drain down can shorten battery life as well as possibly damage electronics and other devices.
The Type I Battery Brain requires manual reset. The Type II may be reset manually or by remote control. The remote operation can also disconnect the system, thereby functioning as an anti-theft device.
The Type IV RV has the same features as the other types except that they are for the engine battery and the Type IV RV is specifically made to protect the house or coach batteries. Since it is not responsible for starting a vehicle the charge protection is at a lower threshold, 10.5Volts. It protects your battery from the deep cycling of fully draining your battery with power draw then recharging which can prematurely end a batteries life. It comes with a remote wired switch to reconnect and disconnect the electrical system from the house battery.
