Ball Mounts in Various Styles

These Ball Mounts are reversible and come in all popular sizes. The ball mounts or utility hitch bar length is determined by measuring from the center of the pull pin hole to the center of the hitch ball hole.

For safe and comfortable towing the trailer should always be set up to tow on a level plane. If, on level ground, the coupler of the level trailer should be at the same height as the ball on the towing vehicle. If not, a ball mount with a "Rise" or a "Drop" is required to level the trailer.
 

 

Distance from the center of the ball hole to the center of the pin hole.

Distance from the top of the shank to the top of the ball platform.

Distance from the top of the shank to the top of the ball platform.


The drop or rise is determined by measuring from the top of the ball mount to the top of the tongue. (See ball mount selection chart) All 2" x 2" ball mounts shank holes are 1" except for #98-9004 which has a 3/4" hole. Use #98-4140 bushing to reduce 1" hole to 3/4".

Rated Capacity is 600 lbs. tongue weight, and 6000 lbs. trailer weight.
