Electronic Brake Control - Tekonsha P2
The Prodigy P2 Electronic Brake Control is a no-level, no-hassle advance in proportional braking! No level adjustments are needed as it self-adjusts to varying terrain as you drive. It also works with electric over hydraulic trailer brakes and produces stops that are in proportion to vehicle's deceleration rate. And it works proportionally in reverse - with the ability to disable when not needed. The "Boost" feature of this new brake control gives the ability to apply more initial trailer braking power as desired. It also provides reverse battery protection for both vehicle and breakaway systems. There are multiple mounting options - including 360 degree vertical rotation. Limited lifetime warranty.
Please Note: One Wiring Harness pigtail, one Mounting Bracket, and one mounting 'pocket' is included with the Prodigy. Some RVer's tow their trailer with more than one vehicle and it is convenient to buy additional wiring harness and mounting pocket in each tow vehicle to make it more convenient to move the brake controller from vehicle to vehicle.
The Prodigy P2 includes the mounting bracket and generic 'hard-wire' wiring harness shown below. Quick 'plug-in' harnesses for specific vehicles with towing packages are also available.
NOTE: 2010 Chevy/GMC vehicles no longer come with under-dash plug-ins for brake controllers - use the supplied harness. 2010 Dodge vehicles have a new plug - Click here for availability of the new quick plug-in harness.
