Prodigy & Primus Brake Controller Accessories
Primus and Prodigy Brake Controllers include the mounting bracket and generic 'hard-wire' wiring harness, and mounting 'pocket' shown below. Quick 'plug-in' harnesses for specific vehicles with towing packages are also available. (See below for GM exceptions) Harnesses for Prodigy are compatible with Primus controllers.
Please Note: Some RVer's tow their trailer with more than one vehicle. The brake controller may be easily moved to other vehicles by purchasing additional harnesses and mounting 'pockets' and installing them in each tow vehicle. The controller may then be unplugged from one vehicle and quickly plugged into another vehicle. Very convenient!!
Modern vehicles with towing packages come with a trailer connector under the dash. Harnesses may be purchased to connect directly into these connectors and into the back of the Prodigy or Primus brake control. This greatly simplifies installation as there is no tapping into your vehicles' wiring system.
