Automotive LED Bulbs

Automotive LED Bulbs use 90% less power than comparable bulbs. This means you can run more than 10 of these with the same electrical power it would take to operate one comparable incandescent bulb. And using less power means less heat is generated, which practically eliminates the 'burning' of lenses of covered light fixtures.

These ultra-bright automotive LED bulbs have a 10,000 hour life expectancy without significant degredation of brilliance. That's 50 times longer than an incandescent bulb, who's brightness degrades rapidly. These bulbs produce more than twice the lumens than other LED bulbs of comparable wattage. NOTE: In some vehicles the use of LED bulbs in turn-signal applications may not work properly. LED bulbs may cause some newer vehicles to indicate a bulb is burnt out (because of their low power consumption). Some cars indicate this by changing the flash rate of the turn signals (either very fast on very slow), and some turn on a bad bulb indicator. This can be remedied with Load Resistors wired into the turn signal circuit to simulate a filament bulb load. If LED 1157 bulbs are used in both front and back of the vehicle, only one resistor is needed in that circuit, but another resistor is needed in the circuit on the other side of the vehicle. It is recommended to install the bulbs and test them to see if resistors are needed. If replacing only one bulb, or using in trailer lights, there may be enough residual resistance in the circuit for the bulbs to operate properly. The Load Resistors are sold in packs of two.
