Propane RV Water Heaters
Suburban is one of the leading manufacturers for propane RV water heaters. Foam insulation is one of the improvements to the newest models of propane water heaters. A solid steel tank also improves the life and durability of the whater heater.The SW6PE is probably the most commonly used, and is well built. It contains a pilot ignition and a 110 volt Electric Element. Faster recovery of hot water of up to an additional 6 gallons per hour is an added feature of the direct spark hot water heaters, and is a valuable asset for larger familes or groups of people using the same RV for showering. These propane RV water heaters are high-recovery 12,000 BTU/hour units providing an easy to access anode rod for quick replacement and reducing corrosion.
A regulated safety thermostat is also one of the features of this Gas/propane RV hot water heater and others produced by Suburban. The installation is quite simple, and the operation and maintenance of these water heaters is minimal. You can choose between 6 and 10 gallons with the added option of having a surface mount door or a flush mount door (Door Sold Separately). Any 10-gallon model purchashed will require a flush mount door.
The SW6PE operates on either propane or 110 volt electricity, and the cut-out dimensions are as follows: 6 Gallon Propane Water Heater; 12-3/4" high, 12-3/4" wide, 19-3/4" deep. 10 Gallon Propane Water Heater; 16-3/8" high, 16-3/8" wide, 20-3/4" deep.
These units all come with a manufacturers three year limited warranty on the tank, as well as a two year limited warranty on the water heater components.
