If you are using this with anything except a TRAVâ€™LER you need to make sure you are recording a channel that is on the same satellite that you are watching. Has a USP port... can plug in external hard drive with recorded movies.
H24HD	DIRECTV HD satellite receiver (H24)-High Definition receiver. Can use with any system but it will only get high definition with TRAVâ€™LER system. This receiver requires a b-band converter (SUP2400) to get the high definition.
HR24HDDVR	DIRECTV HD DVR (HR24)- Requires two coax connections to the back of the receiver to record one thing and watch another. This receiver requires a b-ban converter to get high definition.
