RV Blue Books and Other Pricing Tools
An RV Blue Book value would seem to be the easy way to price your vehicle. Blue Books, however, can be misleading. PPL believes Recreational Vehicle valuations should primarily be done by a comparison of your vehicle to actual selling prices of similar vehicles. More information is available below.

Please note the following about recreational vehicle price guides as compared to automobile price guides:
- Pricing guides for automobiles rely on a vast amount of actual sales data.
- RV Price guides rely on a discounted figure of the original manufacturers' suggested retail price.
This means price guides may not even be close to the current market price. Using price guides are difficult because many options are included in the original MSRP. It is not always possible to know which, if any, options should be added.
Kelley Bluebooks are not available online. However, you may purchase these guides from PPL (Please be aware that these guides are likely to be inaccurate). The prices below are for a single recent issue and not for an annual subscription.
Since published price guides for RVs are generally inaccurate and difficult to use, PPL would prefer that you call to discuss the value of your Recreational vehicle if you are selling one. We can look up book values for you at no charge or obligation. However, PPL's appraisal methods based on actual selling prices are more accurate in determining the Fair Market Value of your diesel pusher, motorhome, 5th wheel camper or travel trailer. You may want to compare your vehicle with similar vehicles for sale. For your convenience, sites that advertise a large number of vehicles are listed below. Although these advertised prices may be considerably above or below fair market value, they are somewhat helpful.

Factors to Consider in Pricing Your Unit
A number of factors affect the value of your recreational vehicle. These primarily include:
- Overall condition: Does it have dents, discoloration, water leaks or other structural imperfections? Has it been well maintained?
- Mileage: If it is motorized, does it have normal mileage and does it run as expected for a unit of its age and mileage?
- Accessories: such as awnings, satellite dishes, solar panels, automatic leveling, etc. Keep in mind many of these items are included in pricing guides.
Actual Selling Prices
PPL believes that the best indication of the Fair Market Price of a recreational vehicle are actual selling prices of similar units. PPL has sold over 2300 consigned vehicles in the last 2 years. Lists by type of vehicle with date sold and price sold are available at the links below.
