Price Guides and Other Pricing Tools

An RV Price guide would seem to be the easy way to determine the value of your RV. Blue books, however, can be misleading. PPL believes pricing diesels, motor homes and trailers should primarily be done by a comparison to actual selling prices. Click on the topics below for more information.

Blue Books

Please note that recreational vehicle blue books are not based on a huge data base of sales but rely mostly on a discount from original MSRP. Thus RV book values may not even be close to current market value.  Also, many options are included in the original MSRP so it is difficult to know which, if any, options should be added.  This makes using blue books difficult.

Kelley Blue Books not available online. However, you may purchase these blue books from PPL (Please be aware that book values are likely to be inaccurate).  The costs below are for a single recent issue and not for an annual subscription.

Published blue books are difficulty to use and can be misleading.  Because of this, PPL would prefer that you call to discuss the value of the Recreational vehicle you are selling.  We will be happy to look up book values for you at no charge or obligation. Factors to Consider in Pricing Your Unit

Primary factors affecting the value of your recreational vehicle include:

• Overall  appearance and condition:  Does the vehicle have dents, discolorations, water leaks, excessive wear or otherimperfections? Has it been well maintained? 
• Mileage: If it is motorized,  does it have normal mileage and does it run as expected for a unit of its age and mileage?  
• Accessories:  such as hydraulic levelers, premium awnings, satellite TV, solar power, etc.  Please note that many of these items may already be included in pricing guides.

Actual Selling Prices
