Local Dealer Consignment
If you do decide use a local consignment lot, take time to visit and see exactly how your vehicle will be displayed and marketed. Your vehicle may be in direct competition with the dealer owned "new" and "used" units. This makes it less likely that yours will be the first to be sold as selling owned units will generally be more profitable. Finding a consignment specialist with a long successful track record is to your advantage. A dealer that handles autos, trucks, boats and recreational vehicles, may be less likely to have the buyers or the knowledge it takes to get the best price for you.
Newspaper RV Classifieds
Whether selling a puppy, golf clubs or RV, many think of the ads in their local newspapers first. These ads can be expensive and results are not guaranteed. Ads are the favorite of bargain hunter buyers looking for vehicles price far below market.
For Sale Sign
Placing a "For Sale" sign in the window of your RV in a busy parking lot can be cheap. You may get a serious buyer this way, but you are sure to attract tire kickers who may not even be interested in purchasing an RV.
Internet Listings
Internet listings reach potential buyers across the nation but how many are likely to travel across the country to look at your one vehicle, so actually selling your RV could take a while.
On popular RV internet sites, we have observed a decrease in the percentage of ads that are being run by individuals. More and more of the ads are by dealers advertising units they own. We believe that the problem of getting potential buyers to travel a long way to look at one vehicle and thus the lack of results is the primary reason for this trend.

Thanks you for the fast sale of my Cardinal 5th wheel. I knew it was a good bargain but I did not expect it to be sold so fast. Thanks again.
