Reese Black Powder Friction Sway Control Trailer Hitch Accessory
Control the sway of any trailer behind a tow hitch with the friction sway control hitch accessory. This add-on component utilizes the friction produced by pivotal movement and stiffens against it to reduce sway.
There are no modifications or adjustments required once the friction sway control component is attached to a hitch. Installation is very simple and the friction sway control can be removed without any hassle. It attaches and detaches via two spring lock pins. The spring locks are strategically placed between the trailer frame and the ball mount. The friction brake stabilizes the pressure between the two to minimize any sway.
Since the friction sway control does not prevent sway, but instead resists the forces that are created when the trailer starts to sway, the installation of the friction sway control does not impede the natural turns of the trailer. Driving and maneuverability of the trailer will not be hindered by the installation of the friction sway control.
Despite its non-assuming shape and easy installation, the friction sway control is made of highly durable steel and is extremely reliable. It can be placed on either side of the trailer and is a tough metal that will not fracture or splinter under duress.
