It's a weight distribution hitch that adds spring bars to your towing system to apply leverage, which transfers the load that is pushing down on the rear of your vehicle to all axles on both your trailer and tow vehicle. That results in an even weight distribution and the result is a level and smooth ride, and you can tow the maximum capacity of your hitch without any problems. The Blue OX BXW1006 1000 Lb. Hitch offers four points of built-in sway control, and in the head assembly, the trunnions are designed to hold the spring bars securely in position. There are rotating brackets at the other end of this weight distribution system to wrap up the length of the chains inside the brackets. This ensures that each chain is more stable, and this stable and tight design limits the movement of the spring bars, so more force is exerted on your trailer to prevent it from shifting from side to side.
