5th Wheel/Gooseneck Adapter
Ranch Hitch adapter. easily converts your 5th wheel to a gooseneck trailer to fit a 2-5/16" ball and is rated at 24,000 lb. GVW, and 6,000 lb. tongue weight. It features a 3" vertical adjustment and is the only adapter on the market with a remote latch release. No need to get into the bed to lock or release the hitch.
Installation is simple and takes about an hour. The use of a wheel puller is required. To determine if the Ranch Hitch adapter will fit your rig: on level ground, position your truck under the level 5th wheel. Measure the distance from the top of the king pin, to the top of the ball in the bed of the truck. This measurement should be within the adjustment range of the adapter which is 11-3/4" to 14-3/4". And you should have 5"-6" clearance between the overhang of the fifth wheel and sideboards of your truck bed. Click for complete Installation Instructions for the Ranch Hitch adapter.
A word of CAUTION. This adapter applies additional stress and leverage to the 5th wheel pin box, and is NOT RECOMMENDED for use on extended or unreinforced pin boxes. Check with the manufacturer of your trailer for their recommendation.
