Blue Ox Baseplates bolt to the frame and are custom made to fit your specific towed vehicle. Each baseplate is specially designed to absorb shock and is integrated into the individual bumper/frame design of your vehicle. Due to its unique design, the baseplate "flexes" when met with force rather than rigidly transfer the force to the frame of the vehicle. In addition, the tabs on selected Blue Ox baseplates can be easily removed for when you aren't towing a car or motorhome. These removable tabs make the baseplate virtually invisible to the casual observer, thereby enhancing the aesthetics of your vehicle.
